Hospice Care

Choosing to Live Every Moment

Hospice isn't about giving up. It's about deciding what matters now.

When curing an illness is no longer possible—or no longer the goal—hospice helps shift the focus toward comfort, quality of life, and making the most of the time that matters to you.

For one person, that might mean staying comfortable enough to spend time with grandchildren. For another, it might mean remaining at home. For someone else, it might simply mean having fewer difficult days and more peaceful ones.

Hospice is about understanding what matters to you and building care around it.

What Is Hospice?

Hospice provides specialized care for people living with life-limiting illnesses.

The focus is on comfort, symptom management, quality of life, and helping patients live as fully as possible according to their own goals and wishes.

And because serious illness affects an entire family, hospice supports the people around the patient, too.

A Team Around You

Hospice isn't one person providing care. It's a team.

Depending on your needs and plan of care, that team may include physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, spiritual care professionals, volunteers, bereavement professionals, and other specialists.

Together, they help manage symptoms, answer questions, coordinate care, teach family caregivers, provide emotional support, and help make difficult moments feel a little more manageable.

What Matters to You?

Every patient has the right to be treated as a person first.

We believe you should have a voice in your care, define what quality of life means to you, stay connected to the people and places that matter, and be treated with dignity throughout every stage of illness.

We don't decide what a meaningful day should look like. We ask. Then we do our best to help make it possible.

Is It Time to Consider Hospice?

This can be a difficult question. You don't have to answer it by yourself.

Hospice may be appropriate when a person has a life-limiting illness and the focus of care is beginning to shift toward comfort and quality of life.

And hospice isn't only for the final days of life.

Receiving support earlier can give patients and families more time to benefit from symptom management, caregiver education, emotional support, planning, and the help of an entire care team.

We're Here for Families, Too

Serious illness changes life for everyone around it.

Families can suddenly find themselves managing medications, symptoms, equipment, appointments, emotions, difficult conversations, and major decisions—all while trying to simply be present with someone they love.

You shouldn't have to become a healthcare expert overnight.

We'll teach you what you need to know, answer questions as they come up, and help you feel more confident caring for the person you love.

Sometimes the most important thing we provide is care. Sometimes it's an answer. Sometimes it's simply knowing there's someone you can call.

You Don't Have to Wait Until You're Sure

If you're wondering whether it might be time for hospice, that's enough reason to have a conversation.

  • A serious illness continues to progress.
  • Hospital or emergency room visits are becoming more frequent.
  • Symptoms are becoming harder to manage.
  • Someone needs more help with everyday activities.
  • Treatment is becoming increasingly difficult or burdensome.
  • Comfort and quality of life are becoming bigger priorities.
  • A physician has mentioned hospice.
  • You simply aren't sure what to do next.

Calling doesn't commit you to hospice. It gives you a chance to ask questions and understand your options.

Palliative Care

Helping Life Feel More Manageable

Living with a serious illness can affect nearly every part of life.

Symptoms, appointments, treatment decisions, uncertainty, changing abilities, and the effect on family can become overwhelming.

Palliative care provides an extra layer of support.

The goal is simple: help you feel better, understand your options, and maintain the best quality of life possible while navigating serious illness.

How Palliative Care Can Help

Palliative care may help with pain and other symptoms, complex medical needs, treatment decisions, communication with healthcare providers, planning for changing needs, and emotional support for patients and families.

Depending on the program, you may be able to receive palliative care while continuing treatment for your illness.
